How to trade safely on a campus marketplace
Most campus trades go fine. The ones that go wrong tend to fail the same few ways. A short, practical guide for buyers and sellers.

Students have always traded with each other. Textbooks, phones, hostel space, hair, food, laundry, repairs. Moving that trade into an app makes it easier to find each other, and it also makes a few precautions worth stating plainly.
Meet in public, during the day. The gate, the library front, a busy walkway. A public meeting point solves most problems before they start.
Inspect before you pay. Power on the phone. Open the laptop. Check the pages of the textbook. If the seller is rushing you past this step, that is information.
Be careful with advance payment. Paying ahead to someone you cannot verify is where most losses happen. If a deposit is genuinely needed, keep it small and keep a record of the conversation.
Keep the conversation in the app. If something goes wrong, the thread is what our team can look at when you report it.
Report rather than argue. Every listing and profile has a report control. Reports are reviewed, and repeat offenders lose access.
